United Way Announces Touchdown Event

Last week United Way for the City of Kawartha Lakes announced their campaign touchdown event and introduced the guest speaker for this special evening, 2017 Invictus Games medalist Denise Hepburn. Connex Lindsay participants – who helped to set up for the United Way press conference at which the announcement was made – were thrilled to meet Denise in person and share some very special time with her.

I live in the woods. Sometimes I wish I could see the sweeping sunsets or feel the wind as it gathers speed, but overall I like be nestled among trees. I do see some wildlife, but I am always astounded that, in the winter, my yard is covered in tracks.

On the one hand, they must proceed with absolute caution – after all we are talking about hundreds of big yellow transporters of precious student lives that could potentially slide over banks or be crashed into by others.
